who also lives in Bonn, taught himself to play the folk guitar at the age of 16. At 17, he started to work as a stage- technician and sound-mixer in a rock band, both activities
having become Ralf's second field of outstanding musical experience. For years then, he played the guitar in various rock and blues bands and was head technician at his home Krefeld's
Association of Rock Musicians. In 1994, he fell in love with Irish music, which he has been playing since with great talent and dedication . Beside his original instru- ments 6 and 12string-
guitar and blues harp, he also took up the bouzouki, banjo, cister, mandola and bodhrán to play Irish music.
